Doris Jeanette, writer, licensed psychologist, becomes surfer at 53
As a writer, Doris Jeanette started publishing poetry in college. She continues to write poetic words and especially enjoys performing them. As a psychologist she has published scientific journal articles and chapters in books. Currently she writes a regular column on Sex & Love for New Visions Magazine and for the Spiritually and Sexuality Journal. She has published articles in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Metro Newspaper, Progressive Health, Holistic Health, Magical Blend and many articles on the Internet. For a more complete list see her vita.
Dr. Jeanette has presented her innovative work at numerous conferences around the world both as an alternative psychologist and as a writer since 1976. She has worked for Medical Continuing Educational Institutes, University for Global Well Being in Sweden, the Association for New Science and numerous others. Her writing workshop, "Helpful Ways to Access Creative Energy " has been taught at Skidmore College for the International Women's Writing Guild since 1982. Her newest writing workshop is "Developing the Confidence to Get Published and Paid."
Doris Jeanette is a licensed psychologist who is in private practice in Philadelpha, PA, USA. She is a pioneer in the exploration of human feelings. She studied Learning Theory with Joe Wolpe, MD Father of Behavior Therapy. From this foundation, she developed her own unique emotional, physical, energetic approach. Her alternative psychology shifts frozen, emotional energy into flowing, physical energy. Since 1975 Jeanette has been publishing and teaching her groundbreaking work internationally.
