Doris Jeanette with a magnolia tree.
Doris Jeanette learned to surf at the age of 53 in Hawaii. She caught some nice
waves coming all the way into shore. In the actual photos, she is a tiny spot in the distance. This on-shore photo is more interesting.
Surfing was a dream come true.

Scientists have been
studying the aerodynamics of carrying large objects
so easily on top of the head. Scientists have yet
to discover the secret to this ancient practice.
Dr. Jeanette says,
"The secret is to relax your body which allows
the point on top of your head to automatically connect
to the field of gravity. Since there is no resistance
or interference between your head and the earth---
viola, bags can be held in balance."
