This holistic psychology definition of the
new psychology can be applied to any holistic health profession. Many holistic health professionals
say they practice a holistic approach but they are frequently
doing the same old things in the same old way.
Use this holistic
definition to measure all holistic psychologists, holistic psychology
schools, holistic health education, and holistic health schools to see if they are new, different
and serving your mind body spirit.
To qualify as a wholistic approach, the practitioner must respect, honor and deal with the whole system. Not just one part of the system.
In addition, to qualify as a genuine, holistic health treatment the approach must solve problems at their source instead of treating the person's symptoms. Any approach that works only with symptoms cannot be considered to be wholistic!
A holistic psychology school program that teaches the typical labels, abnormal psychology and traditional theories are not part of the future, new psychology.
